Key Locations

Available on all plans

Pin the places your life orbits — work, school, family, the landmarks of a trip — and see the walk and drive to each, on every property you weigh.

What are Key Locations?

Key Locations are the places your decision actually revolves around — where you work, where the kids go to school, family, the gym; or, for a trip, the landmarks and markets you came for. Pin them once and every property in that mission shows the walking and driving time to each.

Measured to what matters

The Martins' four fixed points — school, two offices, a gym — on every home they weigh.

A listing tells you about the property. Key Locations tell you about your life around it — whether the school run is a walk or a drive, whether both commutes are bearable, how close a stay sits to the museum you booked the trip for. They belong to the mission, so you define them once and they apply to every property you add.

Distance to what matters

Every property shows the walking and driving time to each place you pinned — the commute and the school run, before you fall for the photos.

Shared across the mission

Define your places once and they apply to every property in that mission — and to anyone you share it with. Change one and it updates everywhere.

Sort by what's close

Rank your whole shortlist by median drive time to everything that matters, so the best-connected places rise to the top.

Home and Travel, pinned differently

The places that matter change with the mission — living somewhere is not the same as staying somewhere.

How people use it

The Martins map their week

House hunt — NYC: the Martins pin the four fixed points of their week — the kids' school, Dad's Midtown office, Mom's Downtown Brooklyn office, and her Park Slope gym. Every home on the shortlist now shows the walk and drive to each.

Result: A cheaper address two neighbourhoods out stops looking cheap once the map shows two long commutes and a driven school run. The trade-off is on the table before they visit.

Sofia & Léo anchor a trip

Christmas trip — Paris: Sofia and Léo pin the places the six days are built around — the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christmas market. womiin suggests a few more notable spots nearby, and they add the ones they like in a tap.

Result: Each candidate stay now shows how close it sits to their must-sees — the same spine the AI itinerary later uses to group the days by what's actually walkable.

One shortlist, sorted by proximity

With three or four key locations pinned, a buyer sorts the whole list by median drive time. The best-connected homes rise to the top — a ranking no listing photo can give you.

Result: Instead of eyeballing a map per listing, the shortlist reorders itself around the life you actually live.

Questions

Are key locations per mission, or shared across all my missions?

Per mission. Each mission keeps its own set — your main-home mission and a Paris-trip mission have separate key locations. There is no global “my places” pool shared across missions, so you pin what matters to that particular search.

How many key locations can I add?

Free includes 1 key location per mission; Plus and Pro allow up to 10 per mission. The limit is per mission, so every mission gets its own allowance.

How are the walking and driving times calculated?

From the straight-line distance to each key location with speed-based estimates — roughly 5 km/h walking, and driving at about 35 km/h off-peak down to 15 km/h at peak, which is why the drive time shows as a range. Walking time appears only for places within 2 km.

Can I sort my shortlist by how close properties are?

Yes. Once a mission has at least one key location, a “Key locations” sort option appears. It ranks properties by the median off-peak drive time across all your key locations — robust to one place being unusually far or near. Properties without precise coordinates move to the end.

Do Travel missions suggest places to add?

Yes. On a Travel (short-stay) mission, womiin suggests notable attractions near your destination that you can add as key locations in a tap — a quick way to build the spine of a trip.

What if a property has no exact address?

If a property could not be resolved to precise coordinates, its distances to key locations can't be computed, so they aren't shown — and it sorts to the end of a proximity sort. Adding a fuller address recalculates them.
