womiin Score

Available on all plans

One 0–100 reading of any location, explainable down to the street — with a personal one alongside.

What is the womiin Score?

The womiin Score reads a location's everyday wellbeing as a single 0–100 number, built from the real places around it — the schools, the transit, the green space, the noise, the air. Eight dimensions, each made of indicators (around 48 in all), each traceable down to the actual places that earned it.

One number, fully explainable

The Brooklyn home reads 92 — with every dimension behind it, trade-offs included.

The standard score is computed the same way for everyone, and never moved by anyone's preferences. The same address reads 85 whoever opens it. Alongside it, My womiin reads the very same place weighed around your own priorities: a second, personal number, always shown beside the standard one and never in its place. You see both at once — the standard reading, and yours.

Impartial by design

Built from independent public data — never from what the listing chooses to say. The same yardstick for every place and every user.

Surfaces what listings won't

A flight path overhead, flood exposure, noise, the air you'd breathe — the risks a listing rarely volunteers are part of the reading.

Explainable to the ground

Every number opens: dimension to indicators to the named places behind them, with distances. Check the score against reality.

Two readings, one scale

The score adapts to the mission — living somewhere is not the same as staying somewhere.

Home score

Long-term

For buying or renting, the eight dimensions weigh what you'd live with every day — from the school run to the commute, the supermarket to the street noise.

Short stay

For a trip, the dimensions shift to what shapes a stay — what's within a short walk, how easy it is to get around, how the streets feel at night.

The standard, and yours

One impartial yardstick everyone shares; one personalized to what you value.

Personalizing the weights comes with Plus and Pro; fine-tuning the indicators inside each dimension is Pro only. Together they make your My womiin — read beside the standard womiin Score, which every plan gets.

On Plus and Pro you can read a place two ways at once. The standard womiin Score — the same reading for everyone — is drawn in green. My womiin, the same location weighed around what matters to you — whether you're settling in or just passing through — is drawn in purple around it. The two never trade places: the centre shows your number over the standard one, so you always see both the standard reading and your own.

  • The standard womiin Score

Green. Computed the same way for everyone, and the one the API returns.

  • My womiin

Purple. The same place, weighed around your priorities — always beside the standard, never instead of it.

Reading the two numbers

Weigh a dimension more and only your overall number moves — a dimension's own score is a fact about the place, not a preference, so it holds in both readings. It re-reads only when you (on Pro) reshape what's inside it: set aside a safety indicator you don't care about and Safety climbs from 77 to 84, while the standard keeps its 77.

Every dimension carries its own pair — here Safety reads 84 for you over the standard 77.

Save a listing from any portal — one click with the extension, a shared link, or a pasted URL. Its address becomes a precise point on the map; and when a portal hides the exact address, the score marks the location as estimated rather than passing it off as exact.

How people read it

The Martins weigh a home

House hunt · NYC: the Martins' shortlist runs from a Brooklyn house at $1.3M to a Long Island City apartment near $2.9M. The Brooklyn apartment they keep coming back to scores 92 — Education 96 with schools for both kids in walking distance, Transport 97 with the metro about 300 m away, Dining a straight 100.

Result: The Environment dimension also tells them what no listing volunteered — climate comfort and aircraft impact pull it down to 73 — so they'd walk in knowing the trade-off, not discovering it after moving.

Sofia & Léo pick where to stay

Christmas trip · Paris: for six December nights, the score reads each stay as a stay. Maison Proust, in the 3rd arrondissement, scores 91 — and Gastronomy & Drinks is a full 100, which is where Léo, planning to cook with what he finds in the little Paris shops, digs first: the markets and food shops around it, by name and by distance.

Result: The number said the area was good; the drill-down said why it was good for the two of them.

A student, somewhere new

Priya is leaving home to start university in a city she's never set foot in, choosing a place to rent from afar. Every listing promises a "great location" — the standard womiin Score gives her one impartial yardstick that means exactly the same thing on every listing, from every portal.

Result: She shortlists on evidence she can verify — the named places behind each number — instead of a stranger's adjectives.

Questions

Is the score the same for everyone?

Yes. The standard womiin Score is computed the same way for every user and is never moved by preferences. My womiin (Plus and Pro) is a separate, personalized reading that always appears alongside the standard one, never instead of it.

Why is a place's score low?

The score measures the location, not the property: how much everyday infrastructure — schools, transit, shops, green space — sits within reach, and what risks sit nearby. Quieter rural and peripheral areas naturally read lower. Open the score to see exactly which dimensions pull it down.

Do Home and Travel missions score a place differently?

Yes. A Home mission reads eight residential dimensions, all weighted equally at 12.5%; a Travel mission reads eight stay-focused dimensions with variable weights, led by Culture & attractions at 20%. The same building can carry a different score in each — living there and staying there are different questions.

Where does the data come from?

From independent, public sources and established wellbeing frameworks — OpenStreetMap for the real places, plus recognized environmental datasets for climate, air quality and flood risk. None of it comes from the listing itself.

What if the exact address isn't in the listing?

Common on short-stay portals. If the location can only be resolved approximately from a verified signal, the score is computed and clearly marked as estimated; if it can't be resolved reliably at all, the score is shown as unavailable rather than guessed. Adding a fuller address recalculates it.

Why does My womiin change some dimensions but not others?

Because a dimension's score is a fact about the place, not a preference. Giving a dimension more weight changes only your overall number, not the dimension's own score — so most dimensions read the same in both. A dimension re-reads only when you (on Pro) change what counts inside it: set aside an indicator you don't care about and that dimension shifts. Your individual indicators never change — they're measured from the real places on the ground.
